A Novel Instrumented Test as an Indicator of Sensorimotor Disturbances in the Lumbar Spine of Road Cyclists - Preliminary Results

A Novel Instrumented Test as an Indicator of Sensorimotor Disturbances in the Lumbar Spine of Road Cyclists - Preliminary Results

2024ConferenceMeMeAScopus

This study examines lumbar spine sensorimotor responses in recreational road cyclists using the instrumented Flexion-Relaxation (iFR) test, combined with surface electromyography (sEMG) and kinematic analysis. I standardized the database to process and analyze signals, segmented the signal for pattern recognition, and time-frequency power analysis.

Identifying Sensorimotor Patterns in Cyclists Through Clustering of EMG Power Spectral Density

Identifying Sensorimotor Patterns in Cyclists Through Clustering of EMG Power Spectral Density

2024WorkshopEMGClusteringSpectral Power

Accepted as a poster presentation at the 2024 Biomedical Engineering Workshop at USACH, this study explores hierarchical clustering of spectral power density from EMG signals to identify sensorimotor patterns in recreational cyclists. The method effectively detected effort-induced alterations and enabled automated segmentation of motor control patterns, contributing to improved neuromechanical assessment strategies.
